BASIC FINANCIAL SECURITY

To achieve Basic Financial Security you should follow the four tips listed below. The fact is that most people don't and find themselves in debt and with no decent retirement! Think of debt as a cancerous disease which you want to avoid like a plague. Having a mortgage on a house is in most cases good because you are paying on something that has long term equity. Having debt on a TV or Computer is just plain stupid. 1. Put aside 10% of net pay each month. 2. Create emergency fund of at least 3 months pay. 3. Stop frivolous, minor spending - such as expensive coffees. 4. Talk to a fee only financial advisor, or do your own research. I'm covering basic financial security planning because when you generate more income you need a plan to know what to do with the money or it will disappear!
